Our Story
The Saunders County Amusement Association was founded in 1989 and owns and maintains all of the rides and games present at the Midway of the Saunders County Fair. The S.C.A.A. boasts of a Ferris Wheel, the Casino, the Scrambler, a roller coaster, and the Octopus along with a various selection of kiddie rides. There are many games to enjoy at the carnival if rides are not your thing. Each ride and game takes tickets that you can purchase at the ticket booth located in the middle of the Midway. Our regular attractions take 1, 2, or 3 tickets depending on the ride/game. While our members maintain the rides and even operate some during the fair, we rely heavily on volunteers to operate the remaining rides and games so our members can make sure that all rides are running smoothly throughout the course of each night. Money from ticket sales go towards insurance, inspections, and upkeep of the rides, including paint, repairs, and the purchasing of equipment.
Our Members
The S.C.A.A. consists of nine board members and numerous other participants in committee work and maintaining rides. You can recognize our members on the Midway each night by their (usually neon green) S.C.A.A. shirts.
